My ‘favorite things’ for my favorite bride-to-be’s!
I say all the time that no detail is too small for my care — and I mean it! Everything from where to source the ribbon for your bouquet, to the best foam sticks on the market … it matters to me, and I know it matters to you. Between my time in the wedding industry and my personal experience during my own engagement season, I’ve definitely learned a thing or two and I always love to pass on what I’ve found to be tried and true.
So below, you can find my ever growing and evolving list of favorite things! Favorite guest books, favorite sources for bridal accessories, favorite dance floor favors — and all for my favorite bride … YOU!
BRIDAL SHOES
(why is it so hard to find good ones!?)
Loeffler Randall — chic without sacrificing comfort
Jimmy Choo — she’s special, but a splurge
BHLDN — houses a curated selection of lovelies!
City Boots— for a bridal cowgirl moment. Make it custom with your new initials or wedding date!
& of course, can’t forget about a cool pair of sneakers (or whatever feels true to you) for hitting the dance floor! Hello Golden Goose!
BRIDAL ATTIRE — whether it be for your engagement party, for a reception dress, or for any event in between
BHLDN — quality pieces and a curated selection
ShowMeYourMumu — great bridal specific options for more casual events (like your bachelorette party!)
Rent The Runway — who says you have to buy a different outfit for every event this season? This is an awesome option for more daring looks without the price tag.
BRIDESMAID GIFTS
Gift them with special items that they’ll actually use and will forever remind them of your special day!
Here are some of my favorite quality items that can be customized to create a special gifting experience:
Katie Kime PJs — not your average pajamas!
Lake Pajamas — for the classic bride-to-be, this company has some really cute seersucker and striped options that you + your girls will wear over and over again!
Made by Maddie Designs — for the Southern bride. Create a custom design for your girls or select any of the gorgeous existing options!
Klein Designs — Customize lounge sets with nods to your wedding design + nods to the personality of each bridesmaid. These are super fun!
GUEST BOOK
There are a number of ways to approach this, but for someone wanting a classic option that they will actually open after the wedding day — Artifact Uprising is my #1!
Their layflat photo albums are the perfect way to display your engagement photos, while providing guests with plenty of room to leave their well wishes. The quality of the album is impeccable and the matte paper is my favorite (*also the recommended paper quality for writing on) Choose a linen color and embossing for the album with your living room decor in mind, and voila! — this will become the perfect coffee table item for your home!
Artifact Uprising runs a number of promotions throughout the year. If you’re ordering at a time where they are not currently offering 10-20% off, here is a referral link that will give you $20 off (better than nothing!)
DAY-OF ACCOUTREMENTS
Ring Box — The Mrs. Box. Not an essential item by any means, but if it means something to you and you plan to use it long after the wedding day, this company is the best in the biz!
Card Box — I encourage you to think outside the box with this one! Rather than buying a box that says ‘cards’ on it (that, let’s be real, you’ll never use again) opt for something that can serve its purpose on the wedding day, but have greater longevity in your home afterwards. Favorite ideas? This acrylic box by Chirps & Cheers, an adorable basket, or a keepsake box you can store your wedding mementos in later.
DANCE FLOOR FAVORS
Heart Sunglasses — and here’s another cute option!
Light-up tambourines — perfect if you have a band as your reception entertainment!
** I recommend ordering favors for 50% of your guest count!
EXIT ITEMS
Sparklers — I recommend the 20” sparklers. Don’t buy any tags, signage, or buckets for these. My team will pass them out and provide instruction to your guests.
No-Mess Streamer Poppers — a crowd favorite
Bubbles — another option I have come to love because they create a cool iridescent look in your photos and are easy for guests to use. Pro-tip: buy a few bubble guns for your wedding party and give your guests the little tubes.
*again, I recommend ordering for ~50% of your guest count
